SHE-LEARNS Transnational Analysis Report Now Available

The SHE-LEARNS Transnational Analysis Report is now available, bringing together key findings from the project’s research and needs analysis phase.

The report examines the barriers single mothers face in accessing adult education, skills development, and employment opportunities. It also explores how adult education providers can better respond to these realities through more flexible, inclusive, and practical learning pathways.

SHE-LEARNS focuses on a clear challenge: single mothers often carry multiple responsibilities at the same time. Care duties, limited time, financial pressure, and lack of flexible training options can make participation in education and employment support more difficult. These barriers are not only personal. They are also systemic and require coordinated responses from education providers, support organisations, employers, and policymakers.

The Transnational Analysis Report draws on research activities carried out across partner countries, including national desk research, focus groups, and questionnaires with relevant target groups. As agreed during the project kick-off meeting in Nicosia, the research process included separate engagement with adult educators and single mothers, helping the partnership capture both professional and lived experience perspectives.

The report provides a shared evidence base for the next stages of the project. Its findings will inform the development of the SHE-LEARNS Digital Toolkit for Inclusive Adult Education, which will support adult educators with practical training materials, methodologies, case studies, mentoring tools, and guidance for working with single mothers.

Through this work, SHE-LEARNS aims to strengthen the capacity of adult education providers and support learning environments that are more accessible, responsive, and aligned with real-life needs.

The Transnational Analysis Report marks an important step in the project’s journey. It helps translate research into practical direction, ensuring that the tools and learning resources developed by SHE-LEARNS are grounded in evidence and shaped by the experiences of those directly affected.
